Visa-free travel

Billund Airport

Most of our patients from abroad arrive at Billund Airport who provides easy access to and from the world with routes to over 40 international destinations. When you arrive at Billund Airport, public transportation is situated just outside the terminal. You can go by bus to Aarhus in approximately 2.5 hours. Tickets are sold on the bus. Find your bus

Aarhus Airport

The airport closest to us is Aarhus Airport. In connection with the majority of flights, there is an airport bus service between Aarhus and Aarhus Airport. Travel time is about 50 minutes. Tickets are sold on the bus. Find your bus

Public transportation in Aarhus

Aarhus has excellent public transportation. From the Central Station in Aarhus, you can take bus 1A or 2A to Aleris-Hamlet Get off at the stop "Brendstrupgårdsvej/Olof Palmes Allé". Enter the yellow city buses through any door and buy your ticket at the ticket machine. Unless you have a bus pass or a multiride ticket ("klippekort"), you have to buy a ticket immediately, when you enter the bus. Se timetable here

Staying in Aarhus

You must expect to admitted to our hospital for two to three days. If you have relatives travelling with you, ask customer services for advice on hotels.

Dining

We serve you tasty and nutritious food every day. Your relatives can buy dinner at the hospital if ordered before 4 pm the same day (ask you nurse). Alternatively, there are many good restaurants in Aarhus. Find a restaurant

The course of treatment

Before a decision on an operation for funnel chest you will come in for a preliminary examination by our thoracic surgeon. Alternatively, the preliminary examination can take place on the day of admission. 

Payment 

The consultation and operationen must be paid in advance. We accept payment by credit card or bank transfer. The payment must be at our disposal no later than five bank days before the operation. We only accept DKK.
